Frequently asked questions

Does this render pages, or extract the real images?
It extracts the actual embedded images at their original pixel dimensions, not screenshots of the page. If a PDF has no raster images (pure text or vector), the tool will tell you so.
What format are the extracted images in?
Every image is written out as a PNG so it opens anywhere. Duplicate images (the same picture reused across pages) are deduplicated.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are processed directly in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, so your documents never leave your device.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The tools run in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox). Very large files may be slower on low-end phones.
